Practical things that help, part 1

It makes me wonder how much of this is actually in the way we choose to handle a situation or not. Perhaps we don’t need the anxiety meds after all.

I’ll tell you up front, there may be many “parts” following this post.  The groundwork for me addressing my anxiety, which is what I will talk about in this post, began years ago.  Since I am writing this to help others on this journey, I don’t want to include too many things in one post, and have something important fall through the cracks.

Whether or not you decide to take medication, chances are that you have other tools that you employ to help relieve your anxiety.  Some are healthy, others not so much.  A few years back, I was in an awkward situation with a friend.  We were struggling to address a very aggressive friend, and it was causing both of us stress.  I am by nature very passive aggressive, and do not enjoy confrontation of any kind.  We were at one point joined by her husband, who also happens…
